Trying to make a tiny difference

Before I post a single message about nails, I want to mention another effort I am undertaking to make a small contribution back. As part of a fund-raising effort to help build a new school in Nepal, for the first time in my life, I have grown long hair. It's been a year and a half!
I am shaving my head to help raise money for this. We're up to over $1,000 and I'm pretty happy about that. So I am trying to start this blog by asking you to keep an open mind to making a small donation to "Room to Read" (http://www.RoomtoRead.org) or if you are in Canada you can get a tax receipt by visiting my donation page at: http://www.canadahelps.org/GivingPages/GivingPage.aspx?gpID=606

Even if you can't make a large donation let me ask you to go without a coffee for one day. I love coffee and it's hard, but skip the bought coffee or latte for just one day and donate the $4 to help make a difference in the lives of many families. Help out if you can! Thanks, Derek

My other interests in this area are helping out "micro lending" - a way to allow people (primarily women in the third world) to get on the road to self-sufficiency by allowing them to purchase a cow or a sewing machine etc to start a micro-enterprise. I'll also tell you how FlexiNail makes efforts to help those undergoing chemotherapy (which is very tough on nails as well as hair). I'll write about these more as we go along.

So hope you'll enjoy the post and contribute your thoughts as well.

Welcome!

Everyday, on our nail website, we try to answer people's questions about their nail problems. Sometimes we help by finding links to very specific information or sometimes just answer questions from frustrated people.

Instead of this information just going to one person, I would like it to be shared with others who may be having the same problems. I would like others to join in with answers for what has worked for them and be supportive of the people who have some real nail issues.

I will do my best to keep the answers impartial, but I have to warn everyone up front that I think we have the best nail conditioner product on the market with FlexiNail and won't be shy to mention it! You can see for yourself at www.FlexiNail.com
Be sure to read some of the testimonials there from our loyal customers. If you have a question - ask away and we'll do our best to get it answered!
